The quote perfectly frames the sound Johanna Linnea Jakobsson's debut album "Alone Together". With lyrical saxophone playing and spellbinding vocals she released her debut alum in june 2022 which received praise from several jazz critics in Scandinavia and Europe. The album was also named one of the best vocal albums of 2022 by the prestigious Japanese magazine Jazz Hihyo.

In November 2023 she released the EP "Some Other Time" which features some of her personal favourites from the jazz standard repertoire. Other recent projects include composing the music for the Emmy winning Danish TV-show "One Of The Boys" which premiered on Viaplay in May 2023 together with the release of an EP with the same title.

On October 31st 2025 the sophomore album "Don't Overthink It" was released, marking a new trajectory for her as both a musician and as a songwriter. The album has received a string of rave reviews, highlighting her songwriting abilities and vocal skills as well ass the attention to detail that embodies the entire album

 

The single “Time” was nominated for single of the year at The Danish Music Awards Jazz and several songs from the album has been in heavy rotation on Danish national radio station P8 Jazz. Her music has also been featured on BBC Radio 2 and JazzFM (UK) and recently Johanna herself appeared in the Take 5 segment on The Jazz Show with Jamie Cullum (BBC Radio 2)
